Mike grew up a military brat, splitting his childhood between North Carolina and Virginia in a Marine Corps family. Each time life brought him back to North Carolina, he built friendships and a sense of home he knew he’d return to someday.
After 11 years as a lineman, he felt the burnout and desire for a new direction. He had been helping Steve on the side, eventually launched his own LLC, and then made the leap to Tint USA full-time. His drive comes from a simple mix: the pressure he puts on himself to excel, the people who believe in him, and a commitment to building something better.
What pushes him most is the impact at the end of each project—knowing he’s delivering something that genuinely helps his community. Mike prides himself on precision, care, and doing every job right the first time. For him and Steve, this isn’t about volume. It’s about relationships. They want customers to feel like they can rely on them long after the installation is done. That final walk-through and seeing someone excited about the finished product? That’s the payoff.
Outside of the business, Mike spends his time with his family, fishing, and playing hockey. His wife and kids are his biggest support system, helping keep him grounded and present both at home and at work.
Looking ahead, Mike wants to keep growing Tint USA and deepen its roots in the community. He believes real growth comes from patience, persistence, and showing up for people. Being family-operated isn’t just a label—it’s who they are.
